Our classroom...

Since I have never posted photos of our classroom, I thought now would be the perfect time to do so. Our classroom is very important to both the girls and myself. We enjoy spending a lot of time in our classroom and accomplish a great deal when we can escape to that particular area of the house. There are times when we do work at the dining room table as well but we prefer the classroom which is located in our basement. We have more room to spread out and the distractions are definitely fewer.

This is our chalkboard wall (and our youngest dog, Lola). Tiara 1 is learning her times tables and made this chart last week.

Here are some of our bookshelves...

And some more of our bookshelves...

And another photo of The Wall of Bookshelves...

Did I mention that we like LOVE books?

Love it! Your room reminds me of our house. We have five of those white bookshelves in my ds room. And then I have 3 more (wood ones) in my living room and one in my dd room. We LOVE books, too.

How did you do the chalkboard wall? It's very nice!

Ooohhh, I want one of those rooms - where can I get one? :) Love it. If I had one of those, my dining room table might actually stay clean! Oh well...

Thanks for the pics. Yeah, the chalkboard wall is cool, but do you have chalk all over your floor?

First time here. Happy home-schooling!

It's too bad your girls don't have any books. I find books to be a valuable resource in homeschooling. And living. And those poor girls. No books for them, huh?

And did you guys do the chalboard wall? WE had a small one at our old house. OMG...I swear we couldn't go in there because of the fumes for a week.

Now, in the new house, I have these huge dry erase boards. That seems to be the ticket.

Love the yellow, too. Our basement classroom is that same shade of yellow.

Oh, we love books, too! It's dangerous for me to be let loose in a homeschool booksale. ;o)

I love your schoolroom and there is something to be said for fewer distractions! We do most of our work in our schoolroom, too.

Thanks for sharing.

I love all those books....it does look like the perfect space to learn. Just wanted to let you know that I am a big goofball...I put your package in my car and put my jacket over it..didn't send it out but I will be running to the post office on my lunch break today. A few days late....which is SO ME. :)

That is awesome! What a bright, cozy and stimulating place to learn!

I am SOOOOOO excited for my box to arrive!

And, the book was Awesome... if you go online, the first chapter is there... the plot is a bit crazy and seems like there would be a lot of violence.. its not gory or scary its suspenseful and really comments on our society.

Let me know what you think!

I am very envious of your dedicated school room. We do not have one but it would be very handy to have.

Love the bookshelves.

I love the chalkboard wall! I have always wanted to do that but we don't have the wall space right now. Maybe when/if we move...
