Come out, come out, whoever you are

Okay, So I've been trying desperately to draw more traffic and get more comment love from the exhaustingly enormous bloggy-blogville. And I actually received 20 comments on my post about our classroom earlier this week which had me elated and shocked, all at the same time.

Today, my visitor map is showing 55 views from 42 different locations. I only account for one of them and I don't think T-Bone has looked at the blog yet today (not that I would ever know if he looked since he doesn't seem to find it worthy of comment love). So, what I want to know is this. Who are you? Do you have a blog? I would LOVE to check your blog out! I will even leave you kind words before departing. And I won't overstay my welcome. And I will eat before I arrive. And I will bring my own diet coke with me. But I must know who you are first. So please, please, please leave a comment or 20 for me. :)

It's just me! What is up with all the lurkers? I get about 160 unique hits a day. But never more than 40-50 comments. And I think half of those are from you :-) Who are these people!!!???

I'm here, but I am a comment leaver!

I have 200 people a day visit my blog and maybe 40 or 50 comments depending on how long I leave up the post.

You'll start to see your blog grow as you leave more and more comments!

I'm here, and I've been reading. I'm in the process of moving and don't have internet at my house at the moment. Sadly, this has caused my commenting to suffer greatly :/ I promise that I'll be better about it in a month or so :)

Hi, I'm Karen, you know, one of your closest competitioners for the top spot on Kat's blog :-)

I often wonder who these people are as well. Some of them even make regular visits.

I also get quite a few hits on various recipes I have listed. It would be nice if they popped back and told me if they loved or hated it !!

Hello from Colorado! I've been busy taking care of my mil who had Alzeheimer's so I would browse while I was sitting at her home. In the past couple of days, I've become a grandma! I've been at their home helping with the baby and still there but I just had to comment due to your post for help. ;) I always go back to blogs that have posted on mine to return the appreciation and I love what I learn along the way. I enjoy the people I meet across the miles.

I tend to be a lurker around here. ;)

But it's easier to leave comments without verification, so I'm leaving you a comment now.

Since I'm the designer, I never know who still wants me to read, and who just wanted a business exchange. So I usually take the hint from who keeps coming back and who does not.

Hi Tiff! It's me, Melody from Pennies In My Pocket!! You came by on Friday when I was featured on SITS. I just got back in town and I'm enjoying getting back to all the bloggers! Your blog is fabulous!

I don't really follow closely to how many hits I get and where they are from. I used to. The longer you're here and the more you blog, you'll have more followers and visitors! SITS is fabulous, too!

I tend to follow the blogs that leave comments because it's easier to connect that way. I do have other blogs that I just read on a regular basis and click out of without leaving a comment.

I always leave comments when I visit someone's blog. You know me. I have a blog. I'm a comment whore. And I'm so excited about the SITS blogathon tomorrow! WOOHOO!

I get lurkers on my blog too, from all over the US and the world! I check the "referrals" page on my site meter and usually find that some have found me through searches (people google some really weird things LOL) and some come to me from SITS or my blogger profile. The frustrating ones are the "repeat" lurkers who come from referral "unknown" and never leave comments. Drives me crazy! :D

Anyhow, cheers from a fellow SITSta!

Hi, I'm Rayna, I found your site through Diamonds, fur and laundry. I love your game collection and your classroom full of books! Your blog is fun. I use mine for keeping up with journaling, so it might not be so interesting to some people. Thanks for having something interesting to check out!
